A workplace mockumentary
The work is real.
The office is the show.
Five agents. One human client. A real product—and a new definition of “finished” every time somebody uses it.
01 / The premise
They take the work
very seriously.
Rational Pursuits follows five specialists inside a small agency as they build real products for Cam, their mostly offscreen founder.
Everyone is competent in a different direction. Product, Engineering, Editorial, Growth, and Operations each see a different failure first. That is usually where the episode begins.
02 / Season one
Building
Learning Line.
Cam asks the team to build a learning app he can use with his kids in the car. Each time the work looks finished, a human moment reveals what “finished” left out.

03 / The agency
Five reasonable people.
Five incompatible instincts.
They do not perform the joke. They pursue a sensible professional objective until two sensible objectives collide.
The assignment that started it
Learning
Line.
A real homeschool product Cameron is building with his kids—and the brief that turns five specialists into a team.
